Oiling relieves stress from the cranium and strengthens hair roots. However, because the scalp produces oil naturally, applying oil is a technique that involves the right quantity and technique. Follow these instructions for optimum results: • Use lukewarm oil to cover the area of your scalp smoothly. • You should oil hair at least once every week, depending on your hair type. • Section hair and apply a little oil to the scalp and massage with fingertips using a circular motion for at least 10 minutes. • Apply the oil left on your palms to your hair. • Cover hair with a silk/satin scarf or hair bonnet to help retain moisture and protect hair while sleeping. • For wash days, the night before apply oil to scalp, cover, and the next day, shampoo hair and rinse thoroughly. • Condition as normal. You can also add a few drops of oil to your conditioner.
